Fuse - Instrument panel lights
I have a Ej6 coupe, and I bought 5 brand new fuses which are 7.5 and everytime I would turn my lights on the gauge cluster lights would make my fuses blow. Does anyone know a solution to my problem? Aright thanks everyone. Btw I installed a tach recently but I doubt that is the problem but help me out. Thanks.

lols yeah, I did what you did too haha. I took took my tach out and it still blows fuses too. And when I drive at night I use this blue light thingy that I bought from autozone and it some what helps. If you do, take it to the dealer let me know what your outcome is.

Re: (Socalkush)
well when you replace the fuse do u hear a pop after u turn on the lights?
if so do this
take off kick panels where wireing is
push back seat or remove set to get in up close to wires
push in each individual wire in the immediate area of the fuse box
once finished pushing in wires
install new fuse try lights if it dosent pop its good to go but if it pops than i dont know man.
the only other thing i can say is to take it to the dealer and have them fix it

Well, I tried my wires. But still, I cannot find a short and my wires seem to be fine. Im lost with ideas. And im defently not trying to go to honda and they charging me like 200+ im guessing just to fix some dinky problemo! Welps, my best guess is to use a flash light while driving at night! LOL..

I am having the exact same problem but isnt that fuse for your running lights and liscense plate lights also because those dont light up on my car wen the fuse pops either.

Re: (98jdmek)
check for a bad ground connection or hook up a voltage meter to your fuse and under your dash for your lights...just watch for a voltage drop. sounds alot like a short in a wire. just an idea.
