Default Fuse Box help also SRS questions

Can anyone find my SRS Memory Erase Signal (MES) connector

i was wondering what this thing is called? it looks like some sort of relay.

heres how mine looks like

and this is from another car. A honda civic hatchback to be exact

Not from my car. Again this is from another car. A honda civic hatchback to be exact, but I was just wondering what that box is called that holds
fuses #24 (15A) and #25 (10A)

heres another picture of what im talking about, shown w/ white arrows pointing

Also anyone know where the Memory Erase Signal (MES) connector is located on a civic/delsol? im guessing its the yellow plug in the first picture i posted. Problem is that it is a male connector w/ a female housing which is simillar to my connector i purchases and used to reset my srs light on my other car. Part number 07PAZ-0010100

any info will help. im planning to write a DIY install for whole complete SRS system for cars that do not have SRS systems installed, so any information is valuable. Thanks.

Yeah, that sounds about like it. Look at what fuses are on that piece.

Here is the MES (Memory Erase Signal) Connector on the other car. It is the small yellow plug (red arrow), plugged into the larger yellow dummy plug slot.

On your car, the small yellow MES connector plug, and it's dummy plug slot, came off the same fuse/relay box area as the other car.

Just unplug the smaller yellow MES connector plug from the yellow dummy plug slot. When you are done, put both together back in the area it should have been in.

Okay, i understand where the MES connector is on "The other car"

as for my car. that plug looks like this. I cannot physically unplug it. That female plug looks like this. and i cannot connect any jumpers in what is indicated for the reset.

this is how it looks like.

it is part of the dashboard harness which is label number 13

isnt the MES connector suppose to be part of the srs connector?

here is my srs harness.

This harness is from 94-97 delsol.

the one circles, that looks like it has a dumy connector suppose to plug into looks like an MES connector. It is near number 7

but mine looks different. it looks like this

Upon further review, from the service manuals, it looks like the 92-95 Civics didn't have a MES connector, like the 96-00 Civics.

I'll see if I can find anything regarding the SRS dash light for the 92-95 Civics. The manual didn't show a reset procedure; but, I'll try to research some other sources for more info. Probably not tonight though.

haha no worries bro. we gotta sleep sometimes. prolly 3 days straight 12hrs trying to figure out this srs deal.

so far i found this link. check it out. I just wanna verify if this is correct. I did find a 2 pin connector on my passanger side, which fit my SCS service connector (07paz-0010100).

http://alflash.com.ua/honda.htm

here an example of pics they have

i used this on my s2 to reset the ecu. funny thing is i found the yellow plug on the fuse box below the driver side dashboard. n reset my srs on my s2 with flying colors.

n now whats the difference between scs connector and mes connector. they seem to be the same thing.

oh btw i plug my SCS service connector (07paz-0010100). to some plug on my passenger side n it fits, but i duno if this is the mes connector or scs connector?

This was what I could find:

From some Honda Service Newsletters, the SCS connector was introduced around 1993 (essentially, it was a jumper, Honda felt this tool was safer than just a wire), it was used to plug into the SCS check connector to read Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or to set the ignition (the SCS check connector needs to jumped to properly set the ignition timing...). Jumping the SCS service connector, would give you any stored trouble codes from the various indicator lights in the form of blinks (e.g., Check Engine Light, Automatic Transmission D4 Light, SRS light (depending on model year). The connector on your passenger side is the SCS check connector.

Here is a picture with description.

For the 94' Civic, Honda changed to a new SRS, which had MES connector to reset the SRS. (The SCS connector tool was also used for the MES connector plug.)
Here is some info. when Honda changed the SRS for the 94' model year Civics.

The SRS you have, appears to be the prior SRS (92-93 Civics) which had the 2 dash sensors (round cylinders). This system did not have the MES connector. If the SRS light went off after 6 seconds, after the ignition is turn to on, the system was OK. If it stayed on, then one of the SRS component or the wiring/connectors
in-between was faulty. Usually, the mechanic then had to trouble-shoot almost the entire SRS system, with a special test connector plugged into a test port in the
SRS unit, and using a multimeter. Sometimes they even had to replace the SRS unit (the flat square box). Here is the basic SRS circuit of the system you have.

I have two last questions.

Also, what are these plugs?

first one? on the dashboard harness
it is label number 13

I came up with these for all the numbers

-----------------------------------------------------------------
1-cruise/transtop??/tcs??
2-loop to itself, notice what its already plug too

3-main connector to instrument cluster
4-other main connector to instrument cluster

5-Hazards
6-SRS Integrated Circuit and power to the srs light
7-Ground
8-stereo i believe
9-part of harness w/ stereo, but not stereo

10-Part of fuse box below driver side dash
11-Part of fuse box below driver side dash
12-Part of fuse box below driver side dash

13-Whats number 13?? where does this plug to?

here is more pictures of that plug, that you were talkin about earlier

----------------------------------------------------------

2nd one? srs system

1- what is number 1? its a 4pin connector
2- plugs into the srs fuse assy.
3- plugs into the clock spring cable reel
4- srs control unit
5- ground

hope you can help, youve already helped me enough tho. i appreciate all of it.

On the SRS harness, the 4P connector (labeled as C802 in the service manual, #1 in your pic.) goes to a 4 terminal connector (labeled C426 in the service manual)on the main wire harness. They are suppose to be located above the under-dash fuse box.

I'm not sure if yellow connector with the blue and blue/red wires (#13 in your pic.) from the main wire harness is possibly C426?

That's all I have for now.

Thanks tech8. that just gave me a clear mind as to were it would go. i looked over it on my helms. n it seems about right. but i cant seem to find this plug anywhere.

as for that yellow connector w/ the blue and blue/red wires. in this picture

ive traced it back, n it leads to the srs plug on the cluster

So floating plug------------------------srs plug into cluster
pin 1- blue red
pin 2 - blue---------------------------- pin 5

so technically this srs wire is just open. im trying to locate were its suppose to be plug into.

n i found this wiring diagram

There is a company that makes the Honda specialty tools for the dealer and only sell them to dealers, it is called American Honda Vision. I could not find a website but was told that if you call them they will ask for the dealership ID # before they sell you anything. They publish a color catalog, very nice tools but they will not sell to anyone...that sucks.

that's a good price, dealer here wants $16.00 and you have to wait at least 2 weeks for it...by the way that part is made by American Honda Vision, the company that makes all the tools for the Hoda dealerships...they will not sell anything to individual customers.
