Funds for hondas
i just got a general question for all. What kind of jobs does everybody have in order to pay for this expensive hobby of making their honda go fast. i guess i'm upset that at my part-time job i will have to wait almost two years to get what i want

Re: Funds for hondas (willyboyD16)
Full time bio student, almost full time waiter...
Using grants and a few small loans to get through college, everything else is paid for by work. Only three more semesters left till I can try and get a full time well paying job, or spend another few years in poor misery at grad school, dunno yet...

Re: Funds for hondas (pagong)
I'm 18, been working at shaftway since 15, bought my first civic flat out for 5500, dropped a couple of grand in that. Bought my Si about a year after that, payed it off in 4 months, dropped a couple of grand on mods then realized I wasted money on some of that **** because I bought a turbo kit. I owe nothing, everything is payed for, so all i worry about now is insurance (unless my car breaks). I forgot to mention, I only make $7.87 an hour. investing and money management go A LONG WAY!

Full time student majoring in CS. I was a part-time chef at a Japanese restaurant. I'm getting a B.S. job working a couple of hours a week just to pay for the car. No mods for me for a couple months 'til I get another decent-paying job.

edit: Forgot to mention that my old car was stolen a few months after I bought my Si. I got 6000 for it which enabled me to pay of my car and buy some stuff for it. Also forgot to mention that I began hooking up my girl's 97 Ex (99-00 tailights, si rims, eibach sportlines, aem intake)

Re: Funds for hondas (FLIP2daMaX)
I work full time (and overtime) as a contractor for Cisco Systems. I'm making $65 an hour, but I have $5000 a month in regular bills. In the end I get to spend about $1500 a month on my car for mods or paying off the loan. Oh, did I mention I am married? Every married man knows that once you get married your money magically disappears every month.

Computer Analyst 45K year, single well at least not married or tied down. No bills except for mortgage payment and buying tools.
I've allways had cars growing up all the way to muscle cars, even sold my beloved '68 Chevelle Yenko !!! What was I thinking ?
Now I have a 1967 Impala SS for Restoration. Plus my two Hybrid Hatches. The KEY is to saving money early and good school degree, it sure paid off.
