Default Fumes inside me car help!

Hey guess i have a 2001 B18C5 in my eg and when i rev it past 7 thousand i see smoke comm'n up from my damn floor like it's comming from the headers or cat. I just had muffler work done b/c i just got the motor and the guy said it isn't the muffler or cat. He said it could be a number of things including an oil leak thats creating smoke when it hits something. no clue. But anyways my freak'n car fills up w/fumes when i'm reving hard and i've established that it's not my muffler or cat. What do you guys think?

could just be an exaust leak not a specific thing like muffler or cat, and its definatley not your HEADERS.

the dude at the muffler shop said it definitely wasn't an exhaust leak. He owns tha shop, did the work and he seems to know his stuff. So i'm really stuck here...

First of all, if you had an exhaust leak, you wouldn't actually see the smoke inside your car...

My cat came unbolted from my header once and it was loud as shiz but there was no smoke inside the cabin...

If there is actually smoke inside your car I would think it is from something heating up... maybe your exhaust is too close to your floor pan and it's heating up your carpet or something?

That's all I could think of...

Good luck!

try buying a new oil pan gasket, also check to make sure your axle seals aren't leaking. Do what i did when my axle was leaking, drive it around your neighborhood until you smell it or it smokes and park it right away if you look underneath the car and you see it leaking then you know what the problem is or run your hand underneath and feel for oil.
