Icon6 Fully Built B16 Eg Coupe Build

2 months ago i crashed my Type R Swapped Eg Hatch into a tree at 50mph, I've since started a new project.[IMG]
I picked up 1995 civic eg coupe shell from a friend. [IMG][/IMG]
After i bought lcas and installed them, i got on to motor work. I traded my type r swap for a b16 with a full rebuild kit, forged rods and wisco pistons and a fully built super tech head. Took the block in for machine work. And here i am now. Took it in for machine work. it was in ruff shape. Turned out really good Got the crank back in. Installed race bearings. Plasti Gauged everything. Installed my pistons as of today. Ands thats as far as i got for now. More on the way

While we're shitting on the OP...you don't get to call it fully built until it has certain things that block doesn't have, specifically Darton/AEBS/GE sleeves.

All that aside, it's a start at least.

I don't think i downgraded motors considering the fact the type r had bad rings and was running like crap. My friend wanted it, i came out on the better end

So if I understand this correctly, you couldn't control what looks to be a near stock car and crashed it into a tree and now you're building it to go faster?

So OP,

You traded a Type R engine that needed new rings, for a B16 with a full rebuild kit?

It's an okay trade if you didnt spend anything to get the B16 running... But considering, you could have just rebuilt the Type R and had a better platform than a b16 with the rebuild kit you're using.

None-the-less though, I hope it turns out great for you! Any updates on the install?

Only one person mentioned the rebuild kit...he actually asked a question and wasnt being a dick. So why are you wowing him?

You didn't say anything wrong initially either....and nobody was being a dick...sure are sensitive arent cha?

I would argue that different crank, pistons, rods, cams, valvetrain, and headwork, would still be considered 'fully built', but I digress.

This forum is TAME compared to some other forums I've been on. Consider yourself lucky this is all you're getting, it could be much much worse.

****, if that's fully built, would mine be considered race prepped? Good luck with the project EJ2...

You're just sticking to a very blind plan. Personally, I wouldn't trust plasti gauge at all. First let's get some math involved in here, and then double check things with plasti gauge.

Good luck man.
