Full harness swap? (keep obd1 in a 98 ek?)
I am putting my usdm b16 into a 98 EK and want to keep obd1- I was thinking of just swapping the entire harness as well! I have a totaled 93' cx as a donor-
So anyone done this? What does it consist of?
Thanks and i have searched, if you have links that would help also! (or suggestions on searching)

What do you mean? I don't want to use obd-II, i am running boost and i want to stay obd-I. I guess the obd-II to obd-I harness is easiest route?

u cant use da harness dat u used on ur 93. its best if u use ur stock harness from the 98 and add the nessary wires. Then use a obd2-obd1 harness conversion.

Re: Full harness swap? (redlinecivic)
You're going to have to modify your existing engine harness to work with the obd 1 b16. That basically consists of the injectors and the distributor plug. There are going to be a couple plugs on the harness that won't have a home on the motor due to the differing obd.s
Get an ecu harness converter and you should be cool if you want to run OBD 1

You're still doing it wrong. That Si harness is useless. You need to modify your 96-98 engine harness.

Re: Full harness swap? (XratedSi)
Then you need to get an regular dx or ex harness.
Thats the only way it's going to work. I'm sure you can use the auto harness, but I'm not sure what you have to modify.
