Fuel System Cleaner
I have heard both ways, I run a walbro pump and RC injectors. Is it good to run a fuel system cleaner every once in a while in your opinions and if so, which is your chosen?

Re: Fuel System Cleaner (Turbo95Hatch)
If you have a new pump and injectors then you shouldn't need to clean anything. Fuel system cleaners are mostly meant to clean old injectors.

Re: Fuel System Cleaner (TurboTagTeam)
stuff isn't new by any stretch of the imagination, probably 12-20k miles on them. I think my fuel system could use a cleaning and I was just wondering if fuel system cleaner was ok to use with that aftermarket stuff. I think it is, must wanted to double check with some of the experts here.

Re: Fuel System Cleaner (Padawan)
i'm all stock and after doing many reading on the board i found out that alot of people favor chevron w/ techron fuel system cleaner.
I run it every other oil change (6 monthes / 6,000 miles). After i put it in my tank i do feel a smoother throttle (psuedo effect maybe?). First time i used it, i notice a increase in mpg but last week when i used it, i saw a loss but that was because i hit vtec alot more than i usually do.

seafoam can be used as a fuel system cleaner inside the gas tank. but usually ppl put it in the crankcase and brake booster line aswell. but then you gotta becarefull and take precautions like not pouring too much and changing you oil.
i've always wanted to try seafoam but i dont have $ if my car starts leaking or i need to change an 02 sensor.
chevron is a safer bet and i think it might be cheaper. according to the bottle, the fuel system cleaner works better than the fuel injector cleaner. just don't run that stuff too much.

Re: (ATEJ8FTW)
There are enough detergents in Good gas anymore, that fuel injector cleaners arent usually needed all that much. But if it makes you feel better.
