Fuel Sending Unit for 1993 Civic
 

I am trying to replace the fuel sending unit on my Civic. I have removed the back seat along with the plate that covers the gas tank. I am trying to figure out which of the two devices under that plate is the fuel sending unit. Each device has two wires leading to it. One device is below a plate with about six threaded screws and nuts on it. The other device appears to stop the gas guage from moving when I disconnect it though. Not sure how to remove it since it does not seem to be on any removeable plate. Any suggestions or photos of the 93 Civic that would help me differentiate between the two? Thanks in advance for any help you could offer in helping solve this problem.

Its the one connected to a float like device. same as the one in the toilet

It looks as if a special tool is required to remove the sending unit. Almost like a tool to open a barrel drum. Has anyone removed it before?

Anyone have suggestions on where I could find step by step DIY directions on how to change this thing out?

A helm. THe screws / bolts your talking about are they torx?

Nevermind I found it in the helm. Yes you need a special tool 07NAC-SR20100 but it looks like its just threaded in there, can you get something big and clamp around it and turn it?
