Default fuel sender from dx cluster to si cluster?

my 95 si's fuel gauge is messed up.(when car starts it shoots to F full) i have a wrecked dx hatch in my driveway, can i take the fuel sender from the dx gas gauge and switch it with the si sender? can this be done? is this the item i should swap and does anyone have a pic so i know what i am doing? i would just swap full clusters but the dx doesn't have rpms. thanks
