Fuel Rail
Would I relly need a fuel rail for a N/A car? I heard that it won't make a difference unless you have F/I or bigger injectors.
Go parts that I have are:
I/H/E, pulleys, MSD 6A & Blaster Coil 2, Cam Gear.
I also have a throttle body, but not yet installed.
I know I need more fuel since I have the spark and the air. In terms of effectivness, would a Fuel Press. Reg. or Fuel Rail be better?

Re: Fuel Rail (unFOB4U)
F/I = Fuel injection right? Ummm, well if you don't have fuel injection, you don't need a Fuel rail. However, if you plan to increase horsepower and need more fuel, first thing is a Fuel pump. Follow that with a pressure regulator (keep in mind this is if you are gradually increasing horsepower not lump sum) then go with the injectors and finally a rail. The rails are for 250 Plus, a stock rail will way outlast your stock injectors/regulator/and especially the FUEL PUMP.

Re: Fuel Rail (Spade)
Yea, I did mean Forced Induction and not Fuel Injection.
So, fuel pump and regulator huh? If I get an AFC will that compensate enough for fuel? If so, which would be more efficent to get first? AFC or Fuel pump/Regulator?

Re: Fuel Rail (unFOB4U)
If you are going F/I, then I would go with the pump, regulator, rail first, so that you know for sure taht you have the proper amount of fuel to begin with. Then, I would get the AFC.

Re: Fuel Rail (unFOB4U)
First thing that everyone I have talked to has been the fuel pump. I am trying to remember what an AFC is...I am guessing and probably wrong auxilery fuel controller. If that is so you still need things that will be able to perform to the changes and the Fuel pumps suck. (no pun intended) Go with the pump and when I find the formula for fuel requirements......here are two equations you will need to do if you want to do things right.
1.(injectors) Injector size (lb/hr) = expected hp times 0.60 divided by number of injectors.
2.(fuel pump) Total Fuel Flow (lb/hr) = injector size times the number of injectors (4)
if you are looking at cc/min times it by 10.5 to convert to lb/hr.
to convert pounds-per-hour to gallons-per-hour divide by 6.25
to convert pounds-per-hour to liters-per-hour divide by 1.64.
to convert gallons-per-hour to liters-per-hour multiply by 3.8
Thanx to the new SCC

Re: Fuel Rail (midnitekreeper)
Nope, if you are going higher into the horsepower you need a bigger fuel rail however, not until into the 250's maybe even the 270's and up will you need a fuel rail.

Re: Fuel Rail (Spade)
Well just some input from me... I have a b16a in a del sol i/h/e ingition, pump and FPR, and AEM rail, one thing i noticed was smoother gear transition bacuse the fuel didnt change flow dramaticly... I like it but hey Im not here to "argue" any one elses opinion.
