Fuel pump stays on. Tdc sensor code
Ok. So I swaped my z6 in my 95 civic for b18c jdm gsr. Runs bad. Codes are 8 and 16,
I tried changing the dizzy but no luck. Has a miss to it and wont rev past 3500ish.
Also when I turn the key to the on position the fuel pump comes on. Isnt it supposed to pressurize and turn off. This wont it just keeps on running..I took the line off the fpr and it is just running full all the time never pressurizes. Also The code 16 is the top dead sensor. I omed it out it is at 362 ohms which is normal. Anyone have any other ideas? Im stuck.

Code 16 is for the fuel injectors or main relay. Does the ECU work in another car? Have you tested the main relay? Did you Ohm test the TDC sensor from the ECU connector? Did you test those two wires for a short?

If the distributor connector was plugged in, then that's the problem - a broken wire. Test each wire individually for continuity to pinpoint which one is broken. Then either find and repair the break or run one new wire.

Re: Fuel pump stays on. Tdc sensor code
Does the fuel pump still run continuously? If you now reset the ECU, does either code 8 or code 16 still return?
If the fuel pump still runs continuously, then unplug ECU connectors A and B, turn the key to ON(II), and then listen for whether the fuel pump runs continuously or not at all. Post the results.

Re: Fuel pump stays on. Tdc sensor code
The problem with the fuel pump went away with the tdc sensor fix. I'm not getting any codes now and the car revs normal. But it still has a miss to it.
