Default fuel pump question...

searched but i couldn't find a definite answer. just swapped a b16 into my ek hatch...the stock fuel pump is obviously working bt would it be worth it to swap in the one from an 00-99si? will i notice a difference?

I'd say yes.
Bseries equipped cars come with a higher flowing fuel pump from the factory, so it would only be logical to switch over to one.

Your stock fuel pump is struggling. Try to get a GSR or an ITR fuel pump. it's the same.

unless it's ls/vtec or your building your motor or it's FI, i wouldn't. stock b18b's run 79lph. just like sohc motors.

i have a 97 hatch with a b series swap and changed out my fuel pump a couple weeks ago from the stock dx to an itr. i felt a difference, the car didn't lag as much and it runs smoother throughout the whole powerband
definitely swapping the fuel pump is a good idea.

why not pick up a walbro 190 or 255 lph normal pressure pump? i would tend to think they are a little cheaper than an oem honda/acura pump.

i wouldnt use a used fuel pump. but thats my opp. for the money you spend on a stock one, a walbro will do you much better.

Go ahead and use the fuel pump that was supplied with the swap from IAS. IAS provides very clean and reliable swaps.. The pump IAS supplied should work fine..
