Fuel pump Problem
Whenever I start my car, I turn the key and let the fuel pump run a second before cranking the motor. For a few weeks now, if I stop for a short time, like to get gas, I can't hear the pump run when I turn the key. When I crank the motor, it runs for a second then dies. I can turn the key off and back on but do not hear the pump running till I wait a few minutes and try again.
So what I am thinking is fuel pump relay? Does this sound feasable or have any of you had this problem before?
Thanks.

Re: Fuel pump Problem (fred97gle)
front what i have been tols it is your main relay. does it do it when it is hot? mine was acting up so i checked around and that was what i was told. i was also told that if the relay fails why you are driving it could lean your motor out. like i said that is what i was told. i am still going to honda this week to get a new relay. ill post if it solves the problem.

Re: Fuel pump Problem (HellbillY)
Yes it is definately hot. I'm in Texas, Dallas area, over 100 degrees every day. It's only done it in afternoons and warm nights too, now that I think about it. Thanks. If it's doing it when hot now, it is on the way to failing all together later.
