Default Fuel pump grounding

Anyone please help... I am looking for the grounding points to my fuel pump circuit on my EK hatch. Other than the thermostat grounding point, cam cover, battery, where else are there grounding points relating to fuel pump operation? What about the grounding points for my alarm module? Will that affect fuel pump operation?

Why not put the fuel pump ground where it belongs?? In the shell right beside the drivers seat underneath the door jam trim??
Just find any ground for your alarm it doesnt have to be in special little spots. Make a hole and tap it On the firewall, Needbe not like its going to change anything.... Use your head any ground can go anywhere on your car as long as the wire is metal to metal contact Try to remove paint around the hole for a good ground conection also

Yup, I am aware of the chassis being a ground. I would just like to know where is the exact grounding point for the fuel pump? I want to give it a good sand down to get proper contact.

Is the "humming" sound when you turn the key to "on" suppose to be very loud? Mine is loud occasionally but at times it sounds like it does not prime(but there is a click from the relay). Could the alarm module be faulty since there is some wiring to the fuel pump via it?

instructor74, I can't seem to find it online anywhere. I have a Haynes manual though. It only shows the wire diagram. From what I see in the diagram, the fuel pump strength can be affected if fuse 13(15A) is faulty. Other than that, perhaps the green/yellow wire going from the main relay to the fuse is broken internally somewhere.

feul pump will not always turn on every time you turn the key. Due to it Only building up fuel pressure for the initial start. Thus sometimes already having enough pressure, Or being warm enough the fuel pump will not need to "prime" the engine. So thats why you dont hear it occasionaly and yea it can be loud I can hear mine outside of the car when the key is turned over

So you hear it only if the fuel pump "primes"? I can park my car overnight and in the morning it doesn't prime loud enough to be heard. I only hear the relay ticking.

Yea just means your engine already has enough fuel in the rails for initial startup.
Unless your car isnt like starting if this the case bad relay.

I found out my starter was still working the hard way cut the green and yellow wire by accident forget how i did it but the car wouldnt start took me a week to figure out the wire was cut so I just took it to my advantage and installed a killswitch lol

Jhonny Ricer, thanks for the tip. At the moment my car does not hesitate or jerks. I changed out my MTF and all is good since. I was just trying to find other possiblities should the hesitation come back.
