Default Fuel Pump/Fuse Box

Just started my project 94 VX with D16Z6 Swap from 92 Si. Upon messing around with stereo while waiting for parts to come in, I realized that the fuel pump was not turning on when the ignition was set to on.

I did some troubleshooting per the Service manuals. and found that there is a open circuit from the main relay and the igntion switch (Blue/White Wire) Upon trying to trace where i found that the resitance from relay to back side fuse box connector was fine ~2 ohms, and from the back side connector to fuse 18 was the same. But from fuse 18 to the ignition switch connector, i was getting well over 500ohms. So i was trying to get the fuse box out (damn srs main harness lock was beating me).

And i was just wonder if anyone has any idea what could be causing this in the fuse panel. Or if i should even bother and just buy a used one online?

Thanks in advance.

The pump will not run when you turn the key from OFF to the ON(II) position, right? A bad wire between the fuse 18 and the main relay would not cause that problem.

Have you checked whether 15A hood fuse 31 or 15A dash fuse 24 is blown?

I have checked 31, and just checked 24 and they are both fine. Isnt 24 SRS?

A better recap of what i've done.

Per 11-349 /11-350 in the service manual. Everything checks out good tell i get to the point of "Turn Ignition to Start and Measure voltage between blu/wht (6) on main relay harness and ground, and i only get .5v . So it states repair open in the blu/wht wire between the main relay and ignition switch.

Trying to trace that i thought 18 fuse was the one that it would lead to. So that's why i was measuring there. It was the only one i saw that had to do with main relay is why.

And btw thanks for helping out!

What service manual are you using?

Answer these two questions:

Does the fuel pump run for 2 seconds when you turn the key from OFF to the ON(II) position?

When you turn the key from OFF to the ON(II) position, does the CEL remain on steady or turn off after 2 seconds?

The Honda Service Manual,

And no the only way ive gotten the pump to turn on is to hook battery directly to it.

There are no CEL Lights on, On the On position, the only light that comes on is the Brake Light.

I should mention, the engine is not in the car. so no wiring is connected to sensors etc in the engine comp. The ECU is pluged in although.

I'm baffled that you did not think this was important to mention in the first post. The pump won't prime without the engine installed as the ECU is not grounded.

Wow. Even still. Why would you even care if the fuel pump primed if the engine was not in the car?
