Once the fuel system is pressurized the fuel pump won't come on pre start. Do you have a stock b series fuel pressure regulator?

wow, no need to bump your page every other minute man. takes time for people to give you a response.

try checking your main relay.

I've been experiencing similar issues. I've switched out the main relay with another I had laying around. No fix. I've then tried to switching out the fuel pump with another I had, no dice. I'm going to see if I have any ecus laying around if not I'm going to have to get out the multimeter and test. It's completely random and will happen while the car is driving. I'm going to browse thru this thread then see if I can get a fix before the weekend otherwise I'll be troubleshooting.

it happends to me about once or twice a week but with mine it only happens when the engen is warmed up. i was just resurching it on google and many other people have the same problem. one person wrote that they cleaned there igniton conectors (were the key does) and that fix it for him. anthor person said he tryed replacing pump relay and nothing, he found out that the harness for the pump was lose. or some one said that if it has pressure already on start up it will not prime. i went out and looked at my relays and one was alittle lose so i pushed it in. i dont know if it fixed it, havent drove it yet. sorry for the novel just have a lot to say

how i start mine is turn the ignition on for 2sec and waight to hear the pump prime if it doesnt than turn off and repeat. some times you have to let it set for 1 1/2 for it to work. how offen does it happen to you and how do you restart your car?

dude, that sounds identical to my main relay problems. you should really check that out. when the main relay is starting to go bad, it will work sometimes and not other times. i cant remember if you said you replaced that or not, but if you havent, you should definately try that before troubleshooting everything else
