Fuel probs. with '97 EX
Alright so my brother's car has been having this prob. for a while now. It's a '97 EX with DSM 450's and a VAFC. I've got the Fuel settings set to around -47% then gradually adding fuel from there...somewhere around those settings i haven't checked them in a while.
Anyway the car is n/a so I was trying to get it as close to stock as possible. The car ran well for a while and now it does this weird sputtering thing like it's not getting fuel at all, it almost sounds like misfires. We've changed the plugs, checked the wiring on the VAFC and the injectors and it all checked out.
I'm having a hard time convincing my dad that it may be the fuel filter (since he has run it clean out of gas on more than 1 occasion) But he keeps telling me that it HAS to be the injectors. This may be true to clogged injectors but does this sound like a problem a fuel filter could give? It usually sputters at random times or when it's idling in the morning when it hasn't been cranked since the night before.

Re: Fuel probs. with '97 EX (NegativeXero)
Put the stock injectors back in, remove the VAFC and put the wiring back to stock, problem solved. Your stock D16Y8 has nothing to gain from either.

Re: Fuel probs. with '97 EX (sicones)
^ there's a problem there too. I can't find my OBD2 clips
My friend says he says some extra ones to I'll probably get those from him.
