Default fuel problem i think...need help

yesterday i noticed my car was idling funny. i let it warm up and i proceeded to drive to work... i noticed when i floored it, it hesitated then picked up again...today it did the same thing but worse the check engine light was flashing and a strong smell of gas was in my car. i stopped at a light and the car stalled. i gave it gas and it stayed at 1000 rpms then picked up again...whats goin on fellas?car idles weird and when i give too little gas it bucks...could this be spark plugs, clogged injectors, cap and rotor or ecu. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

thanx
jp

no, pull the code yourself. jump the plug behind your kick panel and read the flashes on your dashboard. Go to http://www.jdmfan.com to see what the codes mean or how to jump your ECU. And limp mode is the status your engines goes into when the car's ECU senses something is wrong. It makes your run REALLY rich and lowers the rev limit. The engine is almost undriveable but just enough so that you can at least "limp" home or to a shop or whatever.

Its hard to tell without looking at it but it sounds to me like your not getting enough spark.Pulling the code is a good idea to make sure

Jesus Christ,

PEOPLE, when your car runs like a sack of *** on a hot sunny day, PLEASE DON'T BEAT ON IT. Your liable to make your problem worse.
FIX the damn problem.

For both of you, it sounds like you have a leak some where in your fuel system. Check your injector seals, both the ones that go into the intake manifold and the the o ring seals on the top of the injectors where they go into the fuel rail.
Replace your fuel filter.
If you have CEL light, get the code, and see if it helps you out.
If you are smelling fuel, find the leak.

check your spark plugs...see if they're burning evenly...

are the plugs wet?

or i guess the easiest way is when turning the key, listen for the fuel pump.
