Default fuel problem? exhaust leak? normal? help!

about 70% of the time when i start my car , it starts up fine.. and idles at like 2k for like the first minute or two until she warms up, but sometimes when i start my car it barely turns over and she'll stall and i have to keep giving her gas, and usually when that happens the car runs a little poopy, not as responsive and lags a little.. its a b18b/si tranny with intake and exhaust..in a 99ek... any help would be awesome thanks guys.

What have you checked out so far?

Is your timing within OEM-spec?

Do you have any modifications done to your car that will alter fuel, air, and/or timing?

The problem sounds electrical to me. An exhaust leak wouldn't exhibit those syptoms and, actually, probably wouldn't negatively affect anything at all, save the annoying pulsing/ticking noise you'd hear if you listened closely.

Check your coil and - though it might not seem intuitive - make sure you didn't mess something up with the last modification you did. 99% of problems can be traced to the last mod, regardless of how far removed it seems to be from the presenting problem.
