Fuel Pressure gauge on STOCK fuel rail
Who has done this? It seems straight-forward - drill and tap with 1/8" NPT.
I do *NOT* have a stock fuel filter, so I can't mount it there.
I do *NOT* have the money to buy an aftermarket fuel rail.
I'm going to try it regardless here in the next few days.. just wondering if anybody else has done this? My only concern is that the stock rail may not have enough material to tap. Not sure how thick the things are.

You should NEVER use Teflon tape on a fuel or oil system. Teflon tape will be eaten away by petroleum products, unless you buy the expensive "made for petroleum" type, which is also stupidly hard to find.
