fuel light not coming on?
i have searched but i couldnt find anything, just curious on what my problem could be i have a 99 si, and when i get real low on gas and my light never comes on its not really a problem my car runs and drives fine kinda just annoying to me becasue its always a helpful reminder when your cruising and the light pops on...what will cause this, also last week i had some of my dash pieces apart, soo i went ahead and pulled the cluster checked the bulb and it worked, and i also moved the light to another spot on the cluster and it worked but still no fuel light soo the lights bulbs are working but no fuel light when it should come on, and also when i flip my key on and all the dash lights come on and go away that one doesnt light up then either.

Re: fuel light not coming on?
I've driven mine so low that I was able to put more gas in than the tank is supposed to hold. I know my light is broken. It used to come on when I had a gallon or two left in there.

Re: fuel light not coming on?
It doesn't really bother me anymore. I know how many miles I can go before I get in the danger zone. hehe. It's probably a sensor or fuse bad or something like that.

Re: fuel light not coming on?
imo check if there are any sensors related to that light in particular. Might possibly in the fuel pump. If not, then maybe theres something wrong with where that bulb goes..

Re: fuel light not coming on?
could be where the bulb goes, because that lights works i know that for a fact so its either spot on the green pad where the buld sets again on the back of the cluster, or the sensor of somesort where ever that may be, thats kinda why i asked does anyone know how the system works soo i can back track from there, i figure there has to be something in the tank but im not sure

Re: fuel light not coming on?
i have no idea what the problem is but i dont understand why you would run your car that low on gas. its bad to run it that low and im guessing you do enough to where you have to worry about the light coming on so you dont run out. im not trying to be rude or anything im just saying.
