First I thought the seller sold it to me with a full tank. After 200 miles, I no longer thought this. I have since swapped in a EX cluster to have a tach, and the gauge does the same. When I fill up the tank to full, and gauge goes to full. After about 250-300 miles, it drops some to about 3/4ths. I'm not getting that good of mileage.

So what do I need to buy to fix this, and who has a good price?

floater is sticking it needs to be replaced

Ok, kinda what I thought. I'm sort of new to civics. Is the floater part of the fuel pump, or are those components separate?

Floater is separate, but the pump is connected to it. Pull your backseat, remove the fuel pump access plate, take off a couple of screw head bolts, and the fuel pump/float assembly will come out as a complete unit.

If you unplug the connector to the fuel sending unit and then turn the key to ON(II), does the fuel gauge needle drop to E?
