Default Fuel Gauge problem

I have been having thios fuel gauge problem ever since I put white faces on my first cluster and tried pulling the needles of. I broke the temp & gas needle on the first cluster, and now after I got a new cluster the fuel gauge does not work. It would go up along with the temp gauge, but it would never come back down. I wnet through a couple of cluster's and they all did the samething. The gas needle of the cluster that is currently in my car does not rise or lower at all anymore. Can someone help me figure out how I can go about fixing this problem?
