Fuel Filter Clogged?

I have been having issues with my Honda Civic 1996 getting it to start. If my fuel filter is clogged, will this disable the vehicle completey? I am trying to find out if I should replace just the fuel filter or if I need to change the fuel pump. Any tests I should perfrom?

Like on the other post, check spark, coil, plugs, and spark. When was the last time you had a tune up?

Unplug an injector. Does fuel spray out of it?

When was the last time the filter was changed?

The fuel filter has never been changed, I added some heat treatment to the fuel line to see if the cold is the problem but that did not help either, this weekend I am going to change the spark plugs, wires, etc. see what happens. Odd that it would not start got it going ran for 2 days now will not start. Any thoughts?

If the filter gets clogged it gets hard for gas to get to the injectors. If it gets clogged enough no gas will get to them. That happened to me, same no start issue. Replaced and started right up.

listen for the fuel pump to run and see if there is any pressure at the fuel filter
