I was going to say heat it up, but that would not work too well on a FUEL filter. Sounds like what happened when I replaced the R&P, I ended up cutting the line and buying a new hose...

You can do vice grips but you gotta snug that thing on TIGHT. I mean where it takes a real effort to clamp it down on the nut using 2 hands.

To replace it you would need #13. Expensive.

Or you could cut it off at the very end, slip off the rounded fitting, track down a new fitting and then flare the end of the tubing.

But you still have to break the fitting out of the filter. So vice grips are your friend here.

If you're not using flare nut wrenches then you need to go pick up a set. I got a cheap set from Advance a long time ago that I've only used to change the fuel filter with. When loosening the bottom make sure you are turning it the right way because since it's underneath it's the opposite direction than the bolt on top.

Make sure you use both new copper washers for the banjo bolt but you can pitch the tiny one in the can as it's not needed for our civic's.

I literaly just had this issue today with my fuel filter. My dad and I were yanking so hard on the damn thing, we are both suprised it didn't brake or round it off.

What I ended up doing was spraying a little knock er' loose (like PB blaster, my dad said it's better). Then I used a crow's foot and a ratchet and fineily broke the ****er free.

But sence you rounded it off, it's not going to be that easy.^ What he said would be my next try. If that doesn't work, cut the fuel line off.

Those bottom nuts are really a pain in the ***.

if u rounded it off go to kragen or autozone but id say kragen they had a better set for mm...the exstractor grabs the nut and when u loosen it..it grabs it for good...
