Fuel Filter
I was going to replace my fuel filter today, but the 17mm bolt that connects the fuel line to the fuel rail will not budge....I don't want to break this off, and have already tried PB Blaster...does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Fuel Filter (94DOHCDELSOL)
1: Make sure you have 17mm and 19 (I believe) flare wrenches
2: Leave the bracket on, so the filter is secured to the firewall
3: Put the 19mm on the base of the fuel filter, and the 17 on the banjo bolt.
4: Go at it like mad with one arm on each wrench

Have you ever replaced the fuel filter on a Honda? How are you supposed to get an impact socket over the lines? And on top of that, do you realise how easy it is to crimp or damage those lines, and you're going to put an impact on there?
The proper tool for brake and fuel lines is a flare wrench. One on the filter, and one on the banjo bolt. Add a little elbow grease and you're done.

I took mine out of the bracket. That was the only way I could get a good grip on it otherwise it was stressing the sh*t out of the bracket. Get someone to help ?

make sure that your car is not hot, the metal expands and makes it that much harder to get off. Wait until it is nice and cool and then use a flare wrench, that is what they are made for

I think I remember the threads were reversed on the fuel filter canister. It should twist clockwise relative to the lower fuel line.

By taking off the top banjo bolt, you will release the fuel pressure. That is the way it is outlined in the Helms manual.

Re: Fuel Filter
^^^ what he said... it's physically impossible to get the lines switched since they are metal lines and only go one way. Just make sure you get the right flare nut wrenches and use the new crush washers that come with the filter.
I don't remember the size wrenches off the top of my head but the top one is larger and bottom one is smaller so they are different sizes, also I never once had any issues whatsoever with the filter being too tight and I've replaced mine at least 3-4 times now on my y5.
