fuel cut off....
my friend has a 97 civic with a D16 in it. he just swapped the motor in it but he has one problem. it only happens sometimes. when hes in any gear (mostlty second) he drives normal and out of no where its like the gas cuts off and the car doesnt move even when the gas is down. then it just gets back and jerks the whole car. in order to keep the car going, he has to floor it. what could be the problem? is it the fuel? air? a sensor? etc? help please...

i have a b16 and i used a gsr ecu and one day my car wouldnt rev past 3k and 15 mph in each gear then replaced the ecu and everything was cool
check the ecu
