Default Fuel consumption, help!!!

i have 98 lx civic, totally stock, auto tranny slipping on 2nd gear, i drive like an old woman, keeping my RPM below 3k, i changed my fuel filter, oil 40/10, oil filter, air filter, cleaned my injectors and still i get 180MILES PER FULL TANK!!!!!!!! WTF?!!!!

i check my O2 sensor its working fine, i use 90 octane fuel, i have 15" ULTRALITE Atec rims, what more info should i include?!

whats going wrong?! please help, a normal civic should get at least 300MILES per full tank

to check the timing you going to need a timing gun, and i believe the specs on that d16y7 are 16 degrees some1 correct me if am wrong.

ma bad i take that back its supposed to be at 12 degrees, well when i had my 00 hatch no mods, driven carefully i was getting more than 300 miles to the tank. if your car is well mantained i would say at least 29 city 33 highway.

You should be getting at least 300 to a tank (10.9 gal tank, approx. 30 mpg) im out of ideas if its not plugs/wires or timing. Any weird sounds or strong gas smell when driving?

you need a timing gun, there should be a mark on your pulley for 12 degrees this link explains it well http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/timing/timing.php if you do much work on cars at all it is def a good thing to have
