is there any differences between fuel injector cleaners and those market d as fuel system cleaners..case in point : techron fuel injector cleaner vs. techron fuel system cleaner..both claim to clean injectors. yet, the fuel injector cleaner is more expensive the system cleaner..true with other brands on the shelf too..what are ur true life experiences with these products

I dunno if it's my car or the product, but I've used that "Z-Max" crap for my fuel system and my damm car over-heated after running it. I didn't know what the problem was. They like a year later, I used "Valvoline Fuel Injector Cleaner", and my car began to over-heat AGAIN. It only over-heated while a was at a hault. I had to be driving so it can cool down. But I've had bad experiences with the additives. I don't know if it's bad coincidence or I my fuel system just runs bad...

im just interested in whether there is really any difference betwee injector or system cleaner..about ur problems..cleaners in ur gas will usually make u burn alot hotter..its to breakdown the carbon deposits

I've had good results from STP and Chevron but I think they are all the same pretty much.
