frozen bolt on caliper assembly
both of the bolts holding on the metal bracket the caliper is attached to are stuck solid, i'm worried about stripping the bolts, they dont come free after considerable force is applied, i hit it with pb blaster and it's still stuck. any suggestions? i'm trying to change my brake discs.

try heating it up a little, but try not to heat up the bolt it self but the part around the bolt, so it would expand and mabe lossin up a little. if u heat the bolt the bolt will expand and make it even harder, u will need a torch for that, no hair blower will work.

Re: frozen bolt on caliper assembly (delsolnewkid)
are you talking about the bolts the mount the bracket to the spindle or the bolts going into the sliders off the bracket?
If it's the slider pins then IMO seperate the caliper and the bracket/sliderpins and then heat the slider pins (replace them) they should expand pretty freely... then the bolts will come loose...
I'd recomend replacing all four bolts and the two sliders (for each caliper). That way this won't happen again..
