Frosty headlamps

Frosty headlamps
My 1999 Honda EX Civic headlamps has developed a frosty looking coating on the exterior of the headlamps. When I feel the headlamps it has kind of a grain texture to it..
Any suggestions on how to remove this surface grit or build-up from the headlamps. It seems to be a 300$ cost involved to replace my headlamps so I want to try everything possible to remove this coating prior to buying new headlamps.

Re: Frosty headlamps
McGuires is the best use a power buffer with it and they will look like you put brand new ones in. Do it 2 or 3 times for the best result. It works like magic.

I've used the Meguiar's kit and it's pretty much the same as using wet sandpaper. Polish doesn't work great and that makes me think tooth paste (which is a polish) likely won't work wonders either.
This is the how to I like.

3M Kit. used it many times, and loved it. Have no problem reccomending it to anyone.
It's basicly just like using sand paper, only you use a drill. I think it's much easier.
