Front Wheel Bearings
I'm having a noise in my front right wheel. The wheels don't shake and the car is solid when going 85mph. I can't find any suspension problems except for the harsh ride that iv'e always had since 2003. Once i get going about 30mph, i hear a whomp whomp whomp noise and as i get faster its just like WHOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM so i search and suspected it was the front right wheel bearing. First i rotated, balanced the tires and got new rims and saw that my axles boots were in good shape.
I installed the bearing myself and when i was pressing it into the hub, i didnt properly support the inner race on the other side and it came out a little bit. like it basically came apart. So I figured out what i did wrong and fixed it so that the bearing is in the hub and seemed to turn OK, but i'm afraid i didn't do the job correctly. It was my first time. Does it sound like I messed up?
So the noise is still there. it seems to be getting louder but i'm not sure. I'm also not positive it's the bearing becuase i'm not great at diagnosing the problems. What else could it be? I'm about to do the bearing job again because I'm afraid that's it.

Re: Front Wheel Bearings
Have you checked the left wheel? When you turn left, the car leans to the right, putting more weight on the right wheels and bearings and less on the left.
You could also have someone ride with you and tell where he thinks the noise is coming from. Car noises are hard to localize from only the driver's seat.

Does the sound change depending on which way you're turning? If you're driving down the road and lightly weave back and forth (SAFELY). If the sound gets louder when you turn left, it's probably the right front bearing. If the sound gets louder when you turn right, its probably the left front... If the sound doesn't change when you weave, it's probably your tires. The thing about tires is that they may look fine on the outside and have plenty of tread, but something might be going on inside the tire that's causing the issue. Some brands of tires are just louder than others.
My wife had the same problem with her Mazda 3. We had a constant roaring on the road, and it got worse with speed. The sound seemed to be mainly coming from the rear, but was definitely at all four corners. I inspected the tires, they looked fine. I rotated the tires, no change. New pads and rotors (they needed to be replaced anyways), no change. New rear hub bearings, no change. New front hub bearings, no change. You get the point... It got to the point of causing a terrible vibration anywhere above 50mph. I never suspected that the tires were just noisy as hell by nature. I bought a new set of tires once they were worn enough to warrant replacement. Complete silence now.
Just don't always assume that if your tires LOOK good that they ARE actually good.

Anyway i just noticed my FLCA to shock fork bushing is bad and has play. And it's on the side where the noise is coming from. But that wouldn't cause the symptoms I've been describing, would it?

Re: Front Wheel Bearings
Ok i just did the passenger side bearing for second time, this time i properly supported the inner-race, but there was no change. It didn't fix anything.
When I'm driving 45mph and I turn to the right, the noise goes away. What does this mean.

Re: Front Wheel Bearings
That video tells me it's the right bearing, the passenger side bearing . but I've already done it twice. I'm using timken bearings from Amazon, maybe they're selled defective parts? Should i do it a third time? Maybe i installed it wrong again, but i don't think so. Could it possibly be something else?
The video says if the noise changes on turns, then it's definitely a front bearing but could it be a rear bearing?

Re: Front Wheel Bearings
Yes it can be a rear bearing. Check all 4 wheels by jacking up that corner of the car one at a time and turning the wheel by hand. Any noise at all when you turn by hand is a problem.

Re: Front Wheel Bearings
I think it was the rear bearing I don't remember. But i think my front driver side bearing is going bad now. But I don't really get any noise when i turn, just the slight click when i pull tire at 12 and 6
