Default front turn signal bulb

just painted my headlight housing black and took out the amber cover over the turn signal light. the turn signal, of course, now has that peachy color. i'm either going to replace it with either an amber or xenon white bulb but i can't seem to find them. the stock bulb is a 3496(?-correct me if i'm wrong) and i'm wondering if it's the same as an 1157(or if there is some other bulb interchangeable with the 3496) because those are much easier to find. also, if anyone has the xenon white ones, let me know if they are a true white or have that bluish tint cause i want true white ones if i go that route. thanks in advance!

1157NA is your friend. $1.96/pair at Wal Mart! FYI, NA stands for "natural amber."

I also am in the same predicament, and I was wondering if any place like wal mart had the bulbs in regular white, more to match my headlights, I dont really want amber, and the peach color is nasty looking when compared to my PIAA headlight bulbs (some might call rice, but a stocker burnt out on me)

Anyone know where to get a whiter than stock turn signal bulb, preferably for not a lot of $$$

Thanks!!!!!!!

A whiter than stock turn signal bulb will be blue...so you have to consider if you want that blue look in the daytime...also, it is very hard to find blue bulbs that will EXACTLY match your PIAAs or any other blue headlight bulb. Heck, even PIAAs 1157 Xtreme White does NOT match their Xtreme White headlight bulb!

You can try Raybrigs, but the only sure way is trial and error with all the different APC/Polarg/Raybrig/Matrix/etc blue bulbs...

I dont think that the hyper white will be much harder to see in the daytime than the peach color it already is, so what is the harm??
