Front speakers - not working

Front speakers - not working
hi,
the driver's side speaker at the front stopped working, but the other 3 continue to work. I have replaced both front door speakers with new Pioneer compatible, as I had believed that the speaker was N/S; however, even the new one doesn't work. The twin installed does.
What could the problem be? Fuse box??
thanks

Re: Front speakers - not working
you have a broken wire in the door from the wires being old/opening and closing the door.
This is common on many vehicles. Split the insulation if anything and re connect/solder the wire back together and you will be fine. Then tape everything back up

before u go ripping your electrical system up check to make sure all the connections behind your radio are connected properly. I had the same problem and it was one wire from the radio not completely connected.

you can always check for continuity at the speaker (making sure that you have complete circuits for both your ground wire along with your speaker feed). I had a problem similar to this, but instead it took out the entire channel when the ground wire shorted out on the door frame. I would start off by checking for continuity. Good luck!

Re: Front speakers - not working
Thanks for the advice.
I plan on bringing it into the shop, and I do suppose something is loose in the connection just simply because all the other speakers work so it can't be a fuse then.
Have a great one!
