Front/Rear Struts on a HB Problems
I have fallen victim; the lustfullness of the mugen strut bars is overwhelming! They look so much tougher (and more cool) than the other options. But here's the problem:
why will the mugen front/rear strut bars not fit for the DX (hb) models? has anyone ever tried this or do DX owners just opt for a different brand? everyone that ive found on ebay says they wont fit the DX models, but WHY? is there a way to perhaps buy some extra metal pieces to allow for fitment? im so hooked on those mugen bars though PLEASE HELP

Re: Front/Rear Struts on a HB Problems (97civicracer)
the mugen bar will fit the front of your hatch...you just have to switch your intake manifold out for a civic ex manifold. This way you will have clearance to put the bar on without that air box being in the way. you will also have to drill holes in the shock towers and buy some hardware....that's it. As far as the rear bar goes it should fit you just have to cut a hole for the bar to pass through to the shock towers.

im in the middle of an h22 swap, so do you think then that this wouldnt fit (for the front)?
so the rear i just have to cut a small piece out of the carpet, is that it?

The front should fit, the rear you have to cut out piece of the plastic to run the bars through.

I have a 93 DX and I didn't have to drill holes in the strut towers. They were already there. I have an AEM cold air and the mugen bar fit just fine.
