Default Front Lip & Coilovers - Which/Where?

hey guys, i'm looking to scoop some cheapo coilovers, especially if they are in red. Any recommendations on what and where to buy?

also, i want to get a front lip. not sure which one i want though, maybe you can help me decide - pics are a plus again, where to buy, and what is cheap?

help me out.

i'll post some pics of my car in about a week or two, waiting on some parts and she needs a bath.

well, i'm not all that worried about it because i don't really plan to keep the car my whole life, maybe a year or two. besides, with the tires of i've got on these rims, i've got a whole lot of cushion, nexen n7000 225/45/17, and my mechanic didn't seem too concerned it would be that big of a deal.

my suspension is stock now, and since i've had the fenders rolled and there is no more rubbing, it's a smooth ride. i think the tires make a lot of the difference, even though i'm still riding stock.

but, i have a lowered del sol and rode around on 17's with some low pro tires for 4-5 years and it was hell. every bump was like an earthquake!

i've also felt the difference with top quality suspension, i had a $3,000 Tein set up on my type-s with 18" Volks and Toyo Proxies. the ride was good, but not fantastic. and i believe i'm riding smoother with what i've got right now.

all i'm looking for is something adjustable, just in case i need the clearance. like i said, the fenders had to be rolled. even though, i still catch some rubber on stiff right turns in the front. nonetheless, i haven't even experimented with passengers since the roll, though i'm pretty sure i'll be fine in the rear.

otherwise, i think i'm feeling mugen. only caveat is that it seems to be the one i see on all the civics around here. then again, i guess the whole idea of a lip on a civic is just cliche to begin with.

anyone know a good place to buy mugen with good fitment?

GC on stock shocks will not last long at all. You can get D2 770 shipped by a sponsor on here.

hmm, maybe i'll just hang in there stock till i actually need something then. i'm not looking to spend a ton on suspension, i just don't want my wheels rubbing and my mechanic told me to get some coilovers and that way i could adjust the height.

i know what a rough ride is like. i've driven a lowered del sol on 17" low pros for 5 years - BRUTAL.

but as far as i'm concerned, $350 is really out of my price range because i don't trust that the cheap $50 **** is any better than the really expensive ****, as long as i can adjust the height and it keeps me off the ground and my tires from rubbing the wells.

i had an RSX type-s with full Tein suspension that ran $3,000. i was on 18" Volks and Toyo Proxies. my car was so low, i couldn't get an arm under the front or a finger between the tire and wheel wells. it kept it from rubbing alright, but it still wasn't a smooth ride by any means. i'd have to brace myself for every impact of a bump. and yeah, i don't think girls did like riding in my car very much, especially not hoping in and out of my bolstered brides with doors that only opened about a foot and a half because they were lambo.

bottom line, i think we're just kidding ourselves with some of the price differences on the knock-off stuff compared to the top quality stuff. sure, this guy's struts went with the eibach's, but they were probably going to go anyway. that's one horror story. i'm not convinced, yet.
