Default front fender plastic rubbing

My car is lowered around 2" and when i take a hard turn and turn the wheel all the way over, my tires will rub on the plastic in the fender

Has anyone cut part of the liner in the front fender? if so, have their been any issues with dirt/rust, etc?

Thanks

I don't have either fender liner in at all... No problems. Except for sometimes stuff builds up in the little area right in front of the side skirts..

If I ever get caught up on my other projects I am going to fab up something to cover just that area.

What offset wheels are you running? you may consider for the next set of wheels running a smaller offset with slightly stretched tires not extreamly like some of the VW guys but enough to bring the tire away from the plastic and the frame rail

Gsr meshies.. Not sure on the offset...If I get my fenders rolled I might try and get some that will sit more flush with the fender...

It will get dirty faster, but you could always clean it.

under the hood gets dirty faster

my main problem with not having the fender liners is dirt in the door jambs.

it makes the doors creak bad after it builds up. so you have to keep them cleaned and lubricated more often.

if i were you, i would cut the part out that rubs and leave the part that blocks the door jambs

I currently run with out my fender liners but they are going back in due to gunk and dirt getting in all the nooks and crannys. I also took my coil overs off and went with reg lowering springs when i replaced my struts untill i can afford to get the Real deal coil overs then i will worry about wheel offset and all that. But id say for Daily driving lift it up a bit more till it wont rub till you get some wheels with the stretched tires and some nice offsets

I tried taking off the fender liners, but I had trouble taking off the clips. Does anyone know how to get them off?

After taking a peak underneath, I was hesitant to cutting the top part out since it would expose the paint underneath causing chips in the future...can someone share their experience?
