Front exhaust pipe
Hello. I have a 99 Honda Civic sedan. I had the front exhaust pipe replaced by a local mechanic and recently I noticed on cold starts there is shaking and rattling noise from the front exhaust pipe. I looked underneath and I noticed the two screws on the pipe bracket were not put on and are missing. I took a picture of it and upload it here http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/24/b7wx.jpg/ (the missing screws are circled in red). Are those two screws supposed to be on when installing a new front exhaust pipe?

Re: Front exhaust pipe
looks like that isnt the right peice for your car. i dont see a bracket behind it, this could cause some rattling, start the car cold up on jacks and try to pin point the noise.

Re: Front exhaust pipe
Does anyone have a picture of how the OEM front pipe is connected to that motor bracket with the two screws?

Re: Front exhaust pipe
I assume the studs that are on the bracket broke off when he tried to remove it. (my assumption should be correct considering the amount of rust underneath the car). so pretty much your only option is to remove the bracket or replace it. I suppose you might be able to drill it out and use a nut and bolt though. #13 in the pic.
