Front brake problem

I changed out my rotors and pads due to front end vibration. Vibration is gone, but I put in Performance Friction Pads and the brakes don't grab like they used to. I didn't bleed the brakes as I did not remove the banjo bolt. Do the pads need to be heat cycled? I'm not getting the type of performance I expected from premium pads.

pads need to bed themselves to the rotor. the rotor has small inperfections created by dust, dirt, a non-perfect caliper, etc so the pad just needs to wear down so it meets with the rotor fully. shouldn't take more than a few days.

btw, i've never heard of those brake pads...

I bought them frrom Kragen, couldn't wait for delivery. Should I bleed the brakes or replace the fluid?

If you bleed the brakes you're gonna have to replace the fluid. You used the Fram part # as your usernamer? https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

did you clean the protective stuff of the rotor?

Not necessary. When you depressed the caliper piston did you remove the fluid reservoir cap?

No, I didn't remove the cap. I forgot to clean off the protective coating until after I installed the rotors, so I'm sure there is quite a bit of it on the back of the rotor still. I tried to spray brake cleaner on the back of the rotor to remove it. Does it wear off eventually?

I forgot to open the cap when I was pushing the piston back in for my driver side and now it squeaks like mad...would that need bleeding? (This can help the both of us)
