Default front brake problem

I was working on my 96 DX hatch this weekend and went to change out the rotors and pads. I got the rotors and pads on but when i went to put the caliper back on, it will not clear the pads(yes the piston is in all the way). So i tried putting the old pads back and the same thing, calipers stop on the brake pads. I compared the old rotors to the new ones and they are the same.
Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, your piston isn't pushed back all the way in. You may swear to god it is, but it isn't. I had the same problem with my rears.

I would have to agree, unless something else is obstructing the pads. Check the area where the pads slide into, make sure it is clear from debris.
