Default friend's '93 civic coupe.....

has problems starting....radio comes on...he said he got a tune up at the beginning of the year....what else?.....he says he needs to pump on the gas pedal a few times to try and start it.....could it be the starter or the fuel system? thanks.

could be anything from the info you gave us ..... but pumping gas woont help b/c it is fuel injected

if its the fuel, you will hear a turn over but no start. if its the starter there will be only a click. check the fuses first. and if its manual, remember, u need to press on that little pedal to start (its called the clutch pedal fyi) .
