Frenkenstein Engine
Anybody ever actually done the LS/VTEC conversion? If so then how does the thing run and can it be revved safely? Also has anybody done the B20 Engine swap? If so then how does that run?

Re: Frenkenstein Engine (Dark_Clouds)
depends on the car and setup but mid-14s to high 13s for a mild, tuned civic/CRX
7500-7800rpm is a good redline...
b20b/z is a little quicker but low 14s and mid 13's can be achived easily...

Re: Frenkenstein Engine (Dark_Clouds)
I have (..or am currently removing) an ls/vtec in my '94 hatch. I spin it to 8000-8100 religiously on the track and it has performed excellent. My best 1/4 mile was a 13.41 @ 104.1mph. The head is stock(itr cams), and the block is completely stock. If you can find someone to do the motor work for a reasonable price, there isn't a better way to go for the money. Although if you're near MI- i'm going to be selling my motor... I'm building an n/a b20/vtec for the next mod.
