Free Maintenance?

Free Maintenance?
Hey guys, pretty new here ive only browsed a few threads just recently bought a honda civic, hence my name haha. just curious if theres anything i can do free maintenance wise ( i guess cleaning counts) and just have something to do on the car for now it isnt running im waiting to get my paycheck, i have to replace the clutch master cylinder, but just wondering if theres anything i can do without spending money other than cleaning intererior and etc. idk just need something to do to pass the time till i get paid

Ummm...remove the clutch master cylinder? That shouldn't cost you anything but time.

Degrease the engine bay and scrub it all down so when you do work on it it is LESS Of a mess transferring onto you. Maybe pull the seats out and clean under them, there can be a lot of nastiness under there from spills over the years...I have actually pulled the carpet out and powerwashed it when it was stinky and I could not afford to replace it.

These are free or close to free (lubricants, cleaners, etc)
-check air pressure in tires
-check ignition timing
-rotate tires
-clean throttle body, iacv and FITV
-clean and adjust rear brakes (if drums)
-lube door hinges and door stays, hinges and locks
-lubricate window tracks
-check and adjust parking brake if needed
-inspect and adjust valve clearance if needed
-inspect belts and adjust tension if needed
-inspect and adjust idle speed if needed
-check air pressure in tires
-check ignition timing
-rotate tires
-clean throttle body, iacv and FITV
-clean and adjust rear brakes (if drums)
-lube door hinges and door stays, hinges and locks
-lubricate window tracks
-check and adjust parking brake if needed
-inspect and adjust valve clearance if needed

- Aim headlights if need be.
- Headlight wire harness tuck if that's your thing.
- Compression test if you have a tester or can borrow one.
- Check all fluid levels.
