Hey guys thanks for checking out the thread. This is about my 96 Honda Civic CX Hatch.
this is the right rear frame rail that connects up to the rear bumper reinforcement bar thing. It looks like it was somewhat repaired in the past.
how bad does it look? Could it be repaired or should I not worry about it at all, car drives straight and I’ve had no issues with it
im just worried because I have big plans for this car but his has me second guessing if it’s even worth putting More money into the car.
I'd start tearing apart the rear interior and looking at the chassis for more damage.
gonna be taking it to a body shop hopefully Monday.
Got it some free time Sunday, what should I look for? I looked from under the car and that’s pretty much the only noticeable damage I saw. The spare tire section has been sealed up I guess it was squashed and replaced.
Exterior of that car is suuuuper clean... That is a very concerning insert though for the repair, and it's starting to rust.
Try to find a local/semi local body shop and see what they think?
will do, and yeah I love the car and have put a lot of time into it. was wanting to do a swap semi soon on it, but now I’m reconsidering it. I just don’t want to waste money if it’s going to get worse. If it’s not worse I was going to remove the rust and then do under seal on the whole underside
