FPR not working?????
okay, today i installed a str fuel rail, i did everythign correctly on the installation, when i started up my car and warmed up, my FPR iS SET at freakin 80 psi? i tried lowerin it down but it didn't work?? i even took out vacuum line tube tnat connects the fpr to the intake manifold and it did nothing, THE only time when the fpr reponse which is shown through the gage is when i add throttle to it... its just sitting there at 80...it should be at 42 like before i set but ****, it doesn't wanna do that....btw when i kinda full throttle it, it drops down to like 65 psi........anyone recommend on what i should do to fix

Well, I did a quick search and found this, in reference to the str fuel rail:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by pb16b »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
the fuel regulator holes are there and threaded however, the hole for the fuel pressure regulator is blocked off. it's blocked off in case the buyer wishes to use an external fuel pressure regulator off the end of the fuel rail. if you wish to use the factory fuel pressure regulator, you have to drill out the blocked hole.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Did you drill out the hole for the fpr? That would definitely cause the problem you describe.

If he never drilled out the hole, then pulling the vacume line of wouldnt affect anything, since no fuel is actually going through the fpr.

Are there any plugs on the fpr? When I bought my aem, it came with a red rap that blocked the passage for fuel to go through. Little did I know, I installed it with the plug still on and read max psi.

B&M and AEM are different. B&M u have to modified it to ur stock fpr bottom half while aem, u can just install the whole thing

The B&M mounts to the top of the stock fpr, so it mounts to the fuel rail exactly like stock would.
You should have to drill the hole.
The 2 holes for the 10mm bolts, that hold the fpr onto the rail, are already there, but the hole in the middle(that the fuel actually travels through) is not.
Im betting that is the problem.
