Default fpr and low idle?

I have a 99 Civic EX with I/H/E and a couple weeks ago I installed a B&M FPR. Some time around then, I started having some idle problems--sometimes engine will idle around 200-300 rpm.

I have checked vacuum connections, idle set screw, reset the computer, I've cleaned out the throttle body and the IACV, I am not throwing any codes, and the car runs fine, and has yet to stall out.

My question is this: Is there any possibility that a loose gasket or a faulty connection where the fpr connects to the fuel rail would cause my sometimes low idle? The fpr itself seems to be working okay.

I am going to install a stock honda fpr tomorrow to see what happens, but I'm curious to see if anyone has any thoughts first.

Thanks!
P.S. I have searched and searched and searched and searched and have not found a satisfactory answer.

What fuel pressure are you running. Please tell me that you didnt just install the FPR without a gauge because I dont know how you would adjust that without a gauge telling you what the pressure was. You may be running really low and starving your engine.

You either have massive amount of fuel 50 and above set or 20 and below ...You really need to get a gauge if you dont have one and go from there . Best of luck

Sheesh! Sorry--Yes, I have a gauge and it's set to stock fpr--I think 40 psi with vacuum hose disconnected. That is the weird thing.... but I am off to install the stock fpr right now, and we'll see what we get.

I have some suspicion that my fpr gauge may be somewhat off.

And thank you two for your "help"--should have mentioned that I am not a crazy newb who would install an adj. fpr without a gauge.

UPDATE: Installed the stock fpr, and pressure is good, and so far, the problem seems to be fixed... I'm not sure, yet, but it seems to be idling better (it was higher during my test drive after).

So now I am investigating the possible causes--I dismantled the B&M unit, and everything looks kosher.

Who knows? Anyway, problem seems to be fixed--will post more if I learn otherwise.
