Re: fpr on d16y7 (ask_611)
Y7's just run lean from the factory. With 190k on mine, my plugs are still white/light tan at the 15k change intervals.
The ECU is there to do a 'job'. When you add i/h/e, the ECU now has to learn how to do its 'job' while still producing the same results (clean emmisions, good driveability.....nothing to do with power)....meaning, your still going to have white plugs. If you add a FPR, chances are you'll encounter a "fuel supply system" code, as now the ECU's ability to trim the injector PW is out of range.
If any OBD2 techs are reading this, with the addition of i/h/e, how much does the Long Term fuel trim chage? On my stock Y7, I'm usually in the +3-4% range (this already indicates that things are running lean enough for the ECU to add fuel).
