Default Found this under my carpet....

i found this under my carpet, right there by the shifter. I think it is the Selector for the automatic, which the car originally was. The guy i bought it from had converted it to manual then I bought it.

Can i remove it? do i have to solder any wires or can i just cut them ?

Here are few pics of the car:-

Yeah I know my engine bay looks like ****, I got to go throught it and get rid of all excess wires and paint my valve cover

The car is JDM EG hatch, with a B18C swap and few other goodies to go fast

that is what it is.
to check if you need it... slide the smaller plastic peice in the center of the slot in this pic to the right.

then try to start the car. if the car doesn't start you may have to spice two wires together. if it does start then you should not need it.
trace the wires back to the plug and unplug it.

Cut one wire at a time before starting the car. If it doesn't start, rewire and move on to the next wire.

Look at the FAQ auto-> manual thread, it tells you which wires to tie together to make the car think its in Park, so it'll start.

black/white to black/red
but only connect them if it doesn't start.

if you had cruise or wanted to make the lights light up on the cluster then they would matter.
