if it plugs into the IM then it is the IAT sensor (intake air temp). you should get it fixed if the wire is cut. are there any CELs?

Yeah there is a cel. its for misfires in all 4 cyl and then multiple misfires, then for an 02 sensor.... I dono if it is for that because if runs to the bottom of the IM and runs someplace under the car, i just cant see because i dont have a jack handy at the moment

holy **** dude, id say all those other CELs are givin ya bad mileage. fix that wire so its not rubbing, fix all the CELs, a good tune up might fix the misfires. the only thing that plugs into the bottom of the IM would be idle air control valve or the EVAP solenoid which they dont really hit the IM. but since it is OBD2 it might have some others that im not aware of

with the stuttering/misfiring it seems as though the timing belt change might not have been done properly. Did you match the top and bottom ends at TDC? Is the tension on the belt alright?

if you have misfire code then your CFS crank flukuation sensor wires are cut....
at least that is what i think it is...

It is supposed to be held by a clip on the timing belt cover that i found...</TD></TR></TABLE>
That goes down to the crankshaft fluctuation sensor. Did you forget to clip it back into the cover? Got eaten up by the alternator belt didn't it?

yes it did, so is this causing the misfiring half the wire was eaten up so i taped it up for now

If the wires cut through they usually set a ckf sensor code.

yeah, if the wires shorting out or giving wrong signal- i won't code and crank position will be off. You know it's cut- just fix it

Naw that's not causing the problems obviously because there was at least half the wire left and i taped it and stuck it back in its holder, lets put it this way, today i goffing around and i went to drop the clutch at 3000rpms and there really wanst even enough power to get the tires to even chirp, something is seriously wrong with the car and i have no idea what it is, it was running about a second worse at the track 2 this time..... So it truly is the car because put the wire back in its place.
