FOUND--->STOLEN-95 Civic 4dr-Eau Claire, WI
A friend's civic was STOLEN from Markquart Lube and Wash parking lot, located across from the Oakwood Mall in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Stolen on 12-03-09 from the time between 2-4pm.
Car: 1995 Civic 4 door/sedan
Color: Dark Blue...freshly painted
Wheels: Clean 99-00 Si wheels
Body: All stock with 2 door/coupe front bumper (vents below the headlights). Center grill in bumper has been left black, while each side vent has been painted same color as rest of car.
Suspension: All stock with w/ stock muffler out back.
Story: My buddy got to work at 2pm today. He took his keys with him but didn't lock his doors, as no does there because the vehicles are literally parked next to the garage that they work in. He went out around 4pm to bring the civ into the shop to look things over and it was gone. No other employees saw or heard a thing. The thief must have known what he was doing. The shitty thing is that my buddy just finished doing body work and painting the car, bought a set of si wheels, gave it a lot of tlc, and just put in a clutch master cylinder this morning.
Please keep a look out. Sorry I don't have any pictures to share. Thanks for looking.

well he made it a whole lot easier by leaving his doors unlocked. a honda is never safe no matter where you park it, unless its in your garage.
hope you find it though

Very true. I can't say that I would ever leave my car unlocked while unattented. I'm pretty sure no honda is ever safe wherever you park it, even if it is parked in your garage. I've heard plenty of stories about hondas/acuras being stolen while they were parked in a secured garage. H*ll, I live in a quiet safe neighborhood and my civ is sitting in my garage right now, locked with the steering wheel in my house and the hub lock in place. Haha

How close is he with the people he works with? Because you never know sometimes, and they would know best with what's goin on with his car and his daily routine..

Everyone there is very close and friends with one another. Its an outsider. The thing is, is that he doesn't regularly drive his civic. He just happened to take it today. The thief must have been scoping out the area for awhile.

What did he have in it that was so worth stealing? If they were following or scoping him out he had to have something.Who knew about it?
Any security?

Thanks for the comments. No security and no theft coverage. He doesn't drive the car as he was just finishing up a rebuild on it and decided to take it into work for the day to get some stuff taken care of on it. Wrong place at the wrong time. The civic's all stock. I'm sure the thief just wanted it for its oem parts to sell off.

Re: STOLEN-95 Civic 4dr-Eau Claire, WI
The only places where cars in Eau Claire that get stolen mostly goes to the cities or Wausua. Otherwise they stay in town. I know a few people in town that steals honda's. Let me ask around also. It would help alot if you had pictures but since you don't its just all about imagination then. Did the car had any type of nice swap? I know a couple of thieves that live in Eau Claire but don't know if they are responsible for it. They were scoping my cousin's hatch also. If it don't have a swap and they don't really need anything its probably out in the country side somewhere otherwise if it had nice wheels or something flashy then its probably still sitting in someones garage.
